Lynchburg
Lynchburg is the county seat of the smallest county in Tennessee (Moore County) and the home to the Jack Daniels Distillery. Lynchburg is a picturesque small town in southern middle Tennessee that has been largely sheltered from the typical commercial development.
The Jack Daniels Distillery offers free distillery tours. The tours are free of charge and are offered daily 9am to 4:30pm Central Time. They are open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. The tour is mostly out-of-doors and involves quite a lot of walking and steps, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Tours last about an hour and fifteen minutes. Visitors are asked not to take backpacks, camera bags, tote bags, shopping bags or other large bags on the tour.
One of the most storied places to eat in the region is Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House which is just off the town square. If you have time and can get a reservation you should try it. You can call them at (931) 759-7394.
