The photos from the photographers at FotoFX have been posted on the FotoFX website.  Check out the marrage proposal toward the bottom of page 17 of the photographs.
 

Discount at Jack Daniel's Gift Shop

Oak Barrel Half Marathon participants will receive a 10% discount at the official Jack Daniels gift shop, the Lynchburg Hardware & General Store.  The discount is good for Friday, April 2 and Saturday April 3 when you show your race bib (race number) at checkout.  The Lynchburg Hardware & General Store is located Lynchburg square.

 

Course Map Posted

The course map has been posted over on the Course page of the website.
 

Participant Page Added

A participant page has been added to the site.  It will be updated once or twice a week.  This will allow participants to confirm that their registration was received.
 

ChampionChip Timing

The Oak Barrel Half Marathon will be using the ChampionChip timing system to score the race.  The timing chip is a small, lightweight device about the size of a quarter, which you attach to your shoelace.  Timing chip triggers the timer as you cross the starting mats and also as you cross the finish mat.  This way, regardless of where you are when the announcer says “Go”, your race time is recorded as the actual time it takes you to cover the race course.
